# HARD DAYTIME FROST PERSISTS
# JEAN’S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED
# RE-REGISTERING MILK SUPPLIER

Well I am afraid I have [got the old cold in my head], hope it won’t last long. Father’s is pretty bad to-day, hope it has got to its height. N. wind and black frost all day with occasional showers of fine snow. Rene managed to cycle to-day. Brought Jean Jig-saw and Cake as it was her birthday. I got 2 bars Choc. Orange Creme and 1 Mars bar for her. Have to send main Ration Books to Spilsby for re-registering for milk with Brock. Of course Stow’s have not returned them yet but Brock will start to deliver on Sun. It is a nuisance this bad weather having to get it from Parishes. Have written to Ron.

Have you read an introduction to May Hill & family (includes photographs) and explored ‘The Casualties Were Small’?
